It all started July 2009, Josh and I found out we were having a baby! As exciting as the news was, I was scared out of my mind and I think Josh would say the same. As the first couple weeks passed I was so excited that I was feeling great and started to perk up about the subject of being pregnant. Life wasn't so bad, THEN IT HIT!! Like a truck full of brick being slammed on top of me... I cringe just to think the words as I type them... MORNING SICKNESS!
Talk about the 24 hour flu. It was miserable. I didn't move from my bed ever, unless to run to the bathroom or go to work. (I must admit I had some pretty awesome co-workers and a very understanding Boss.) Daily I would take a nap on Emilys floor, it was the only way to survive the pain I was going through. It got so bad, I ended up on home IV treatments.
After suffering the puke-a-rama fest, Josh and I got our first gender ultra sound. I absoluetly fell in love with my baby. We were having a boy!! Josh and I were so excited, infact we even started buying clothes for our little guy. We had a named picked out and everything. Then, surprise again!!! We found out we were havnig a GIRL.. WHAT? That totally came as a shock, but we loved her anyway.
Finally after months of suffering, March 17th came! I started having contractions at work and didn't think anything of it. By 8 pm that night I went into the hospital to have this little girl. Since my contractions weren't strong enough they gave me a shot of morphine and sent me on my way promising I would be back in the morning. Didn't happen! So friday March 19th, Josh and I went in for our 39 week visit and we received the BEST news in the whole world. I would be induced at 6 am Sunday March 21st. We got up, went to the hospital and 8 hours later that day we had a beautiful baby girl.
Maisyn J Olsen. 7 lbs 14 oz, 19 in. - She was such a cute little girl. She looks just like Josh! (Daddys girl all the way) We love her so much and can't wait for her to walk and talk.... and be potty trained! Any day now.. ;)
